The WEILER 01705 is a 6-inch diameter wheel brush designed for surface conditioning, deburring, blending, and cleaning metal workpieces. It mounts via a 5/8-inch arbor hole and uses crimped stainless steel wire filaments with a diameter in the 0.010 to 0.019-inch range. The 1-7/16-inch trim length and 1/2-inch face width make it well suited for controlled, repeatable passes on flat and contoured surfaces. Rated to 6,000 RPM, it is installed and operated by machinists, maintenance technicians, and fabrication professionals using bench grinders, pedestal grinders, or straight grinders.
This wheel brush is intended for use in industrial and production environments where consistent surface finish is required. Suitable for milling operations, CNC machine setups, and automatic machine applications, it handles tasks such as edge deburring, weld seam blending, scale removal, and light stock removal on stainless steel and other metal substrates. The stainless steel wire fill resists corrosion and is appropriate for use on stainless workpieces where contamination from carbon steel wire must be avoided.
Designed for use with arbor-hole-mount bench grinders, pedestal grinders, straight grinders, automatic machines, and CNC machines requiring a 5/8-inch arbor and a maximum operating speed of 6,000 RPM or lower.
Installation is performed by a qualified machinist or maintenance technician. Power down and fully de-energize the grinder before mounting or removing the brush. Confirm the machine spindle speed does not exceed the 6,000 RPM maximum rating before operation. Always install the proper guards per the grinder manufacturer requirements and wear appropriate personal protective equipment, including eye and face protection, when operating wire wheel brushes.
