The WEBSTONE 75005 is a 1-1/4 inch sweat-connection air separator designed for hydronic heating and cooling systems. It removes entrained air from circulating fluid using a coalescing medium, which captures micro-bubbles and consolidates them for venting through the removable vent head. Eliminating dissolved and free air from the loop reduces noise, prevents air binding in circulators, and improves overall system efficiency. Constructed from brass, this separator is rated for up to 150 psi and handles flow rates up to 15 GPM. Hydronic technicians and plumbers install this component as part of primary loop piping in boiler-based systems.
This air separator is suited for residential and light commercial hydronic systems where air management is critical to reliable operation. The C x C (copper sweat) connections make it a direct fit into standard copper pipe installations. The removable vent head allows for service or replacement of the automatic air vent without having to drain the system or cut out the body. Typical installations include forced hot water boiler loops, radiant floor systems, and hydronic fan coil systems where air accumulation is a recurring service issue.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation air separator for residential and light commercial hydronic systems using 1-1/4 inch copper sweat piping.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber or qualified hydronic technician. Shut down the boiler and depressurize and drain the affected loop section before cutting into the pipe. Follow local plumbing codes and IFGC requirements for hydronic system modifications. Ensure the vent head is oriented vertically upward to allow collected air to escape properly.
