The WEATHERKING W802W0754A17DZSBAS is a natural gas downflow furnace rated at 75,000 BTU/h with 80 percent AFUE efficiency. It uses a two-stage gas valve paired with an ECM variable speed blower motor, which reduces energy consumption and improves temperature consistency compared to single-stage, fixed-speed designs. The two-stage operation allows the furnace to run at low fire during mild conditions and step up to full capacity when the load demands it. Licensed HVAC technicians install and service this unit in residential and light-commercial forced-air heating systems.
This furnace is configured for downflow applications, meaning the air handler discharges conditioned air downward into the supply plenum. That configuration is common in installations where ductwork runs beneath the unit, such as above a crawlspace or in an over-the-floor platform setup. The 17-inch cabinet width fits standard platform and alcove installations sized for that footprint. At 4 nominal tons of airflow capacity, it pairs with cooling coils in matched split systems for year-round comfort.
Designed as an OEM-style downflow gas furnace for residential forced-air heating systems requiring a 17-inch cabinet, 75,000 BTU/h capacity, 80 percent AFUE, two-stage, ECM variable speed unit in a downflow configuration.
Installation must be performed by a licensed HVAC technician in accordance with the current edition of the IFGC, local gas codes, and the National Electrical Code. Shut off gas supply and disconnect electrical power before beginning any service or installation work. Downflow furnaces require a listed combustible-floor base or non-combustible platform when installed over combustible flooring. Do not modify the flue venting, gas train, or blower assembly outside of manufacturer specifications.
