The WAYNE WATER SYSTEMS EEAUP250 is a 1/4 HP submersible utility pump designed for automatic water removal in residential and light-duty applications. Its energy-efficient, oil-free motor delivers a maximum flow rate of 3,000 gallons per hour (GPH) and clears water down to within 3/8 inches of the surface. The pump uses iSwitch technology to sense the presence of water and cycle on and off without manual intervention. Sealed thermoplastic construction makes the unit fully submersible and resistant to corrosion. Licensed plumbers and utility contractors are the typical installers, though this plug-in pump is also within reach of knowledgeable DIYers.
The EEAUP250 is suited for residential and light commercial water removal tasks. Common applications include flooded basements, crawl spaces, window wells, flat roofs, low spots in driveways, boats, and stock tanks. The automatic on/off operation means the pump can be left unattended once placed and plugged in, making it practical for recurring problem areas where water accumulates seasonally or after heavy rain. Discharge connects through a 1-1/4 inch fitting, and a 3/4 inch garden hose adapter is included for flexible routing.
Designed for use as a standalone automatic utility pump in residential water removal applications including basements, crawl spaces, window wells, flat roofs, boats, and stock tanks.
Installation requires no plumbing license for basic plug-in use, but connecting to a permanent discharge line may require a licensed plumber depending on local code. Power down the circuit before placing or repositioning the pump in a wet environment. Ensure the discharge hose or pipe is routed to a proper drainage point and is free of kinks that would restrict flow. Do not operate the pump dry or in fluids other than water.
