The WAYNE WATER SYSTEMS CWS50 is a 1/2 HP cast iron convertible well jet pump designed for residential water supply applications. It draws water from wells up to 90 feet deep and delivers a maximum flow rate of 408 gallons per hour at 50 psi. The pump features a dual-voltage square flange motor factory-set for 240 volts but switchable to 120 volts, giving installers flexibility without additional components. An integrated pressure switch pre-set at 30-50 psi enables automatic start and stop operation. The cast iron volute includes a dedicated priming port for straightforward initial fill. This pump is assembled in the United States and built for continuous service in demanding well systems.
The CWS50 is suited for shallow to mid-depth residential well installations ranging from 0 to 90 feet in depth. It is commonly installed in homes, cottages, and light agricultural settings where a reliable potable or non-potable water supply is required. The convertible design allows the pump to operate in shallow-well mode or be converted to deep-well jet pump mode with the addition of a separately sold jet assembly. Port sizing — 3/4 inch NPT discharge, 1-1/4 inch NPT suction, and 1 inch drive — accommodates standard residential well piping configurations.
Designed for use with standard residential well systems from 0 to 90 feet in depth. A jet assembly is required for deep-well convertible operation and is sold separately. Port connections are 3/4 inch NPT discharge, 1-1/4 inch NPT suction, and 1 inch drive.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber or pump technician in accordance with local plumbing codes and IPC guidelines. Disconnect and lock out all electrical power before servicing or making wiring connections. Verify supply voltage matches the motor setting before startup, and confirm the volute is fully primed through the dedicated priming port prior to first run. Never operate the pump dry, as this will damage internal components.
