The WATTS WATTS-0386469 is a combination fill valve and backflow preventer designed for boiler feed line applications. It integrates a backflow preventer and a feed water pressure regulator into one pre-assembled unit, reducing installation time and the need for separate components. The unit is rated for a maximum operating pressure of 100 psi and a maximum temperature of 212 degrees F, making it suitable for demanding hydronic heating systems. A push-button fast fill engagement with auto-stop is built in to prevent over-pressurization during system charging. Licensed plumbers and hydronic heating technicians are the primary installers of this valve.
The WATTS-0386469 is designed for residential and light commercial boiler feed lines where make-up water supply is required. It prevents backflow when supply pressure drops below system pressure, protecting potable water supplies. The dial-set pressure regulator allows the installer to set the desired feed pressure without additional tooling. With NPT x NPT connections at 1/2 inch, it fits standard boiler piping configurations. This unit is appropriate for hydronic heating systems, hot water boilers, and similar closed-loop water systems.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation fill valve and backflow preventer for 1/2 inch boiler feed line applications with NPT threaded connections.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber or qualified hydronic heating technician in accordance with applicable local plumbing codes and IFGC requirements. Shut off the water supply and depressurize the system before removing an existing valve or installing this unit. Verify that the inlet supply pressure falls within the rated minimum of 8 psi and maximum of 100 psi before commissioning. Do not exceed the rated temperature or pressure limits of the valve.
