The Watts Radiant 81007368 RadiantPEX is a 3/4 inch x 20 foot coil of cross-linked polyethylene tubing designed for radiant heating systems, snow melting applications, and supply and return piping. This orange-coded PEX tubing features an integral ethylene vinyl alcohol (EVOH) oxygen barrier that limits oxygen diffusion through the tubing wall. Oxygen diffusion is a leading cause of corrosion in closed-loop hydronic systems, so the EVOH barrier helps protect boilers, pumps, manifolds, and other ferrous system components from oxidation damage. A protective polypropylene layer is bonded to the outside of the EVOH barrier for added durability and resistance to mechanical wear during installation. The tubing meets ASTM F-876, ASTM F-877, ASTM SDR9, and ASTM E-84 standards, making it suitable for a wide range of residential and commercial radiant floor heating and hydronic heating installations. It is rated for a maximum operating temperature of 200 degrees F and a maximum pressure rating of 160 psi, giving HVAC and plumbing professionals the confidence to use it in demanding hydronic applications. The 3/4 inch inside diameter and 7/8 inch outside diameter sizing makes this tubing compatible with standard PEX fittings, manifolds, and barb connections commonly used in radiant heat distribution systems. The orange color coding helps installers quickly identify oxygen barrier PEX on the job site, reducing the risk of mixing barrier and non-barrier tubing in systems where corrosion protection is critical. At 20 feet per coil, this format is well suited for shorter runs, repair work, or supplementing larger radiant heating projects.
The Watts Radiant 81007368 RadiantPEX delivers oxygen barrier protection in a durable, code-compliant PEX tubing format built for radiant heating, snow melting, and hydronic piping applications. Its EVOH barrier and polypropylene outer layer make it a dependable choice for closed-loop systems where component longevity matters.
