The WATTS LFFBVS-3C 1 is a lead-free, 2-piece full port brass ball valve with solder (sweat) end connections designed for demanding commercial and industrial plumbing and mechanical systems. Built on a copper silicon alloy body with a chrome plated brass ball and PTFE seat trim, this valve delivers reliable shutoff across a broad range of liquid and gas media. It carries a pressure rating of 600 psi and is rated for temperatures from -40 degrees F to 400 degrees F, making it suitable for high-cycle, high-demand service environments. Licensed plumbers and pipefitters are the primary installers of this valve in both new construction and retrofit applications.
The LFFBVS-3C 1 is engineered for commercial and industrial applications handling a full range of liquids and gases. The solder end connection style makes it a standard choice for copper pipe systems in mechanical rooms, boiler rooms, hydronic heating systems, and general process piping. Its full port design minimizes flow restriction, which is critical in systems where pressure drop must be controlled. This valve is part of the LFFBVS-3C series, which is the solder-end variant of the LFFBV-3C line. The threaded-end model is the LFFBV-3C.
Designed as a solder-end replacement or new-installation ball valve for 1-inch copper pipe systems in commercial and industrial plumbing, hydronic, and process piping applications. This valve is the solder-end variant of the LFFBV-3C series; for threaded connections, refer to model LFFBV-3C.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber in accordance with applicable local plumbing codes and IPC guidelines. Shut off and depressurize the system and allow all pipe sections to cool fully before soldering the valve into the line. Use standard sweat-soldering technique appropriate for the pipe and fitting materials; avoid applying excessive heat directly to the valve body. Verify stem packing gland adjustment after system pressure is restored to confirm a leak-free seal.
