The WATTS LF919QT-FS-200 is a 2-inch lead free reduced pressure zone (RPZ) backflow preventer assembly built for continuous pressure potable water protection. It incorporates a flood sensor using SentryPlus Alert technology that monitors for water discharge from the integrated relief valve. When a discharge event occurs, the sensor triggers alerts for potential flooding conditions. Quarter turn ball valves are included for fast, positive shutoff during service. Licensed plumbers and mechanical contractors install this assembly at cross-connections classified as health hazards and at service line entrances where contamination risk is present.
This assembly is suited for commercial and industrial potable water systems where backsiphonage and backpressure conditions could allow polluted water to enter the supply. It is designed for continuous pressure piping applications and at service line entrances requiring health hazard-level backflow protection. When connected to an optional add-on connection kit, the SentryPlus Alert sensor can communicate via BMS integration, cellular communication, or the Sensor Control Monitor, which supports RS-485 Modbus connection to a building automation system (BAS) or Wi-Fi connection through the Nexa platform.
Designed for use in continuous pressure potable water piping systems requiring reduced pressure zone backflow protection at cross-connections identified as health hazards. Optional SentryPlus Alert connection kits are sold separately and enable BMS, cellular, RS-485 Modbus, or Wi-Fi-based Nexa platform integration.
Installation must be performed by a licensed plumber in accordance with local plumbing codes and applicable requirements of the Uniform Plumbing Code (UPC) or International Plumbing Code (IPC). Shut off the water supply completely before installing or servicing the assembly. The assembly must be installed in the correct flow direction as indicated on the body. Do not install in a location subject to submersion, as RPZ assemblies require the relief valve port to remain unobstructed and properly drained.
