The WATTS BRASS TUBULAR LF7U2-2 3/4 is a dual check valve backflow preventer designed for 3/4-inch potable water service. It prevents reverse flow of non-health-hazard contaminants into the drinking water supply at either the service entrance or individual outlets. Rated for continuous pressure service from 10 psi minimum to 150 psi maximum, and a temperature range of 33 to 180 degrees F, this valve suits residential water system containment applications. Internal components use Buna-N seals and stainless steel springs for corrosion resistance and long service life. Licensed plumbers install this device as part of cross-connection control programs.
This backflow preventer is intended for non-health-hazard residential water systems where containment at the service entrance or point-of-use outlet is required. It installs vertically or horizontally, giving flexibility in tight mechanical spaces. Typical applications include residential cold and hot water supply lines up to 180 degrees F. The low-lead construction meets AB1953 California and VT S152 Vermont low-lead restrictions, making it suitable for potable water installations in those jurisdictions and any others adopting equivalent standards.
Designed for use at drinking water supply service entrances or individual outlets in non-health-hazard residential water system containment and continuous pressure applications with 3/4-inch connections.
Installation must be performed by a licensed plumber in accordance with applicable local plumbing codes and IPC cross-connection control requirements. Shut off the main water supply and relieve line pressure before removing any existing valve or fitting. Do not install in applications involving health-hazard contaminants, as this device is rated for non-health-hazard containment only. Verify flow direction arrow on the valve body is aligned with the direction of supply flow before final connection.
