The WATTS BRASS TUBULAR 3552-0808 is a quick connect straight valve designed for plumbing supply lines requiring a 1/2 inch Female Iron Pipe inlet and a 3/8 inch Copper Tube Size outlet. It handles pressures up to 250 psi and requires no installation tools for the push-fit connection. The single-piece construction eliminates loose components during installation. Licensed plumbers and experienced DIYers install this valve in new construction and repair applications involving PEX, copper, or CPVC tubing. NSF-14 and NSF-61 certifications confirm it meets potable water safety standards.
This valve suits residential and light commercial plumbing projects where a reliable shut-off or transition fitting is needed between iron pipe and smaller-diameter supply tubing. The push-to-connect end accepts PEX, copper, and CPVC tubing — simply cut the pipe cleanly, push it into the fitting end until it seats at the internal stop. To disconnect, pull back on the release ring. The valve is code approved for behind-wall installations without access panels and for direct in-ground burial, making it suitable for a wide range of rough-in and retrofit scenarios. This SKU ships as a pack of 5 valves.
Serves as a direct replacement for Qest and Flare It type fittings. Designed for use with PEX, copper, and CPVC pipe and tubing in residential and light commercial plumbing systems requiring a 1/2 inch FIP x 3/8 inch CTS straight valve configuration.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber in accordance with applicable local plumbing codes and the IPC. Shut off the water supply and relieve line pressure before beginning work. Ensure tubing is cut squarely and deburred before inserting into the push-fit end to achieve a proper seal. Do not exceed the rated working pressure of 250 psi.
