The WATTS BRASS TUBULAR 1156F 1/2 is a boiler feed water pressure regulator designed to maintain consistent water pressure in hydronic heating systems. It features 1/2 inch female pipe thread (FPT) inlet and outlet connections, plus a dedicated 1/2 inch FPT bottom connection for expansion tank installation. A built-in stainless steel strainer protects the valve disc from fouling, and a tight-seating check feature prevents backflow. Licensed plumbers and HVAC technicians install this valve during new boiler commissioning or as a replacement in residential and light commercial hot water heating systems.

This regulator is suited for residential and light commercial hydronic heating systems. It fills the boiler and system piping with supply water and maintains set operating pressure during normal system operation. The fast-fill feature accelerates initial fill and purges air from the piping, reducing commissioning time. A manual purge lever is included for field use.
