The WATTS 67774 is a 3/4-inch sweat-end isolation pump flange ball valve designed for circulator pump service in hydronic heating systems. The valve features an integral purge port with swivel flange, allowing the port to be repositioned for the most convenient purging angle without additional fittings. A brass body and brass flange provide durability, while the bottom-loaded, blowout-proof stem adds safety under pressure. The adjustable packing gland accommodates minor wear over time. Rated at 600 psi WOG and a maximum temperature of 406 degrees F at 100 psi, this valve handles demanding hydronic system conditions. A lever handle and included purge cap with chain complete the assembly.
This valve is used in residential and light commercial hydronic heating installations wherever a circulator pump requires isolation for replacement or maintenance. The solder inlet and outlet connections suit copper pipe systems typical in boiler loops and radiant heating circuits. The integrated purge port eliminates the need for a separate purge station assembled from ball valves, boiler drains, and copper tees, reducing both material cost and installation time. Licensed plumbers and hydronic heating technicians are the primary installers.
Designed as an OEM-style isolation valve for 3/4-inch sweat-connection circulator pump applications in hydronic heating systems.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber or qualified hydronic heating technician. Shut down the boiler and allow the system to depressurize and cool before removing any existing pump flanges or valves. Use standard solder and flux rated for potable or hydronic service as applicable, and follow local plumbing codes for connection procedures. Do not over-tighten the packing gland; adjust only enough to stop any weeping around the stem.
