The WATTS 386466 is a residential boiler fill fitting designed for closed-loop hot water heating systems. It consolidates up to twelve individual 1/2 inch fittings and eliminates up to eleven threaded joints into a single one-piece brass assembly. The unit features a 3-way ball valve that isolates the water pressure regulator and expansion tank from system pressure, an integral drain port with ball valve for unloading pressure from the waterside of the expansion tank diaphragm, and a factory-mounted 0-30 psi pressure gauge for on-the-spot system pressure reference. Licensed plumbers and HVAC technicians install this fitting to meet boiler manufacturer piping requirements while simplifying the service zone around expansion tanks and pressure regulator valves.
This fitting is sized for 1/2 inch IPS connections and is intended for residential hot water heating systems where expansion tanks and water pressure regulator valves require routine service access. The 3-way ball valve design allows a technician to isolate components without draining the full system, making air charge servicing and diaphragm pressure checks on expansion tanks faster and less disruptive. It is suited for new boiler installations and retrofit applications where reducing fitting count and potential leak points in the fill circuit is a priority.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and new-installation fitting for residential closed-loop hot water heating systems requiring 1/2 inch IPS boiler fill circuit connections with expansion tank and pressure regulator isolation.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber or qualified HVAC technician in accordance with local plumbing codes and boiler manufacturer piping requirements. Shut off the boiler and depressurize the system before removing any existing fittings or making connections. Verify the 0-30 psi gauge reading is within the boiler manufacturer's specified fill pressure range after completing the installation. Do not exceed the rated pressure of any system component connected to this fitting.
