The WATTS 0651124 is a push-to-connect tube-to-tube fitting designed for fast, tool-free joining of two tubes with different outside diameters. One end accepts 1 inch OD tubing and the other accepts 3/4 inch OD tubing, making it a reducer-style connector suited for inline plumbing and fluid-handling applications. The body is machined brass with an EPDM O-ring seal that provides a reliable, leak-resistant connection without soldering, threading, or compression fittings. Plumbers and HVAC technicians use this type of fitting where quick assembly or serviceability is required.
This fitting is appropriate for residential and light commercial plumbing, hydronic heating, and fluid distribution systems where dissimilar tube diameters must be joined inline. The push-to-connect mechanism allows the fitting to be installed in confined spaces where torch work is not practical or permitted. It is suited for copper, CPVC, and PEX tubing in systems that fall within the pressure and temperature ratings of the fitting materials.
Designed as an OEM-style push-to-connect reducer fitting for tube-to-tube plumbing and fluid-handling applications requiring a 1 inch to 3/4 inch OD transition.
Installation is performed by licensed plumbers or qualified HVAC technicians. Shut off the water supply and relieve system pressure before making or breaking any fitting connection. Tubing ends must be cut square, deburred, and free of scoring before insertion to ensure a proper O-ring seal. Verify that the tubing OD and wall thickness are compatible with push-to-connect fittings before installation, and confirm that system operating pressure and temperature fall within the fitting's rated limits.
