The WATTS 0037110 is a float and thermostatic (F&T) steam trap designed for continuous condensate drainage in industrial and commercial steam systems. It features a cast iron body with four ports and accepts 1-inch threaded pipe connections, oriented for horizontal pipeline installation. Rated to a maximum working pressure of 30 psi and a maximum temperature of 406 degrees F, this trap handles condensate capacities up to 1,370 lb/h. The float mechanism responds continuously to condensate load while the thermostatic air vent purges non-condensable gases automatically. Licensed pipefitters and steam system technicians are the typical installing trade.
The 0037110 is suited for a wide range of heating and process applications where reliable, continuous condensate removal is critical. Typical installations include air heating coils, heat exchangers and reboilers, process equipment, steam main drips, unit heaters, and other space heating equipment. The horizontal pipeline orientation and threaded connection style make it straightforward to fit into existing steam distribution piping during new construction or retrofit work. Its cast iron body holds up in the demanding thermal cycling environments common to industrial process and commercial HVAC steam systems.
Designed for use on air heating coils, heat exchangers and reboilers, process equipment, steam main drips, unit heaters, and other space heating equipment requiring a horizontal-mount, 1-inch threaded float and thermostatic steam trap rated to 30 psi.
Installation should be performed by a licensed pipefitter or qualified steam system technician in accordance with applicable mechanical codes such as the ASME B31.9 Building Services Piping standard. Isolate and depressurize the steam system completely and allow all components to cool before removing the existing trap or installing this unit. Install with flow direction matching the arrow or markings on the trap body, and ensure the trap is mounted in the correct horizontal orientation. Verify that all threaded connections are properly sealed with appropriate thread sealant rated for steam service.
