The WATTS 0009412 is a lead-free water pressure reducing valve designed to regulate incoming water pressure to a safe, stable downstream range of 10 to 35 psi. Built on the LF25AUB-Z3 series platform, it features a cast copper silicon alloy body, stainless steel trim, and a reinforced EPDM diaphragm for reliable, long-term performance in potable water systems. The valve accepts 1-1/2 inch FNPT union connections on both the inlet and outlet, making it straightforward to install and service without cutting into the line. Licensed plumbers install this valve on commercial and residential water service entries where municipal supply pressure exceeds fixture and piping ratings.
This valve is rated for water service across a temperature range of 33 to 160 degrees F and a working pressure range of 10 to 35 psi. It is suited for commercial and residential applications, including main service entry points, apartment buildings, light commercial facilities, and any system where supply pressure must be reduced to protect downstream fixtures, appliances, and piping. The FNPT union end style allows the valve body to be removed and serviced in place, reducing labor time during maintenance visits. Overall installed dimensions measure 8-3/4 inches from inlet to outlet and 9-1/2 inches from top to inlet center.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation pressure reducing valve for commercial and residential potable water supply systems requiring a 1-1/2 inch threaded connection and a 10 to 35 psi outlet pressure range.
Installation must be performed by a licensed plumber in accordance with applicable local plumbing codes and IPC requirements. Shut off the main water supply and relieve system pressure completely before removing or installing the valve. Install the valve with flow direction matching the arrow cast on the body, and verify the downstream set pressure with a calibrated gauge after startup. Do not exceed the rated temperature or pressure limits listed for this valve series.
