The WATTBOX WB-820-IPVM-12 is a managed power distribution unit (PDU) with 12 outlets, designed for professional AV, IT, and low-voltage system installations. It provides IP-based remote power management alongside surge protection, allowing technicians to monitor, reboot, and control individual outlets over a network connection. This unit is built for rack-mounted equipment rooms, server closets, and AV head-end enclosures where reliable power control and remote access are critical to system uptime. Licensed low-voltage and AV integration technicians are the primary installers.
The WB-820-IPVM-12 suits commercial and residential AV system racks, network equipment rooms, and integrated control system enclosures. It is well suited to environments where remote troubleshooting and individual outlet rebooting eliminate the need for on-site service calls. Typical applications include rack systems housing AV receivers, IP cameras, network switches, and control processors that require managed, monitored power delivery.
Designed as an OEM-style managed PDU for use in professional AV, IT, and low-voltage rack installations requiring IP-based power management and surge protection across 12 outlets.
Installation should be performed by a licensed low-voltage technician or qualified AV integrator familiar with NEC requirements for power distribution equipment. Disconnect all power to the rack before mounting and wiring the unit. Ensure the mounting enclosure provides adequate ventilation and that the circuit supplying the PDU is appropriately rated for the total connected load. Do not exceed the rated capacity across the 12 outlets.
