The WATSON MCDANIEL ts125-12-n is a straight-thru style thermostatic radiator steam trap built for commercial and industrial steam distribution systems. Constructed from heavy-duty forged brass with a stainless steel seat thermal element, this trap is rated for service from 25 inches Hg vacuum up to 125 PSIG. The straight-thru flow path reduces installation complexity and pressure drop across the trap body. The 1/2 inch NPT connections make it compatible with standard steam piping configurations. Licensed pipefitters and steam system technicians are the primary installers of this component.
The ts125-12-n is designed for radiator steam trap applications in hydronic and low-to-medium pressure steam heating systems. Its operating range from deep vacuum to 125 PSIG makes it suitable for both gravity return and pressurized steam distribution configurations. The forged brass body withstands the thermal cycling demands of continuous steam service. This trap is part of the Watson McDaniel complete line of steam traps, which covers ratings from 25 inches Hg vacuum up to 3,600 PSI across various configurations.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation thermostatic steam trap for radiator and low-to-medium pressure steam heating systems using 1/2 inch NPT piping connections.
Installation should be performed by a licensed pipefitter or qualified steam system technician in accordance with applicable mechanical codes. Shut off steam supply and allow the system to depressurize and cool fully before removing or installing any steam trap. Use appropriate pipe thread sealant rated for steam service on all NPT connections. Verify system operating pressure does not exceed the 125 PSIG rating of this trap before returning the system to service.
