The WARWICK HANGER 2112-I is a self-tapping vertical rod anchor designed to attach 3/8-inch threaded rod directly to steel structural members. The hex head drives with standard tooling and bites into steel without a pre-drilled pilot hole, creating a secure mechanical anchor point for suspended pipe, conduit, duct, and equipment. Each anchor accepts a 3/8-inch rod and installs in a vertical orientation. This package contains 25 anchors. Mechanical contractors, pipefitters, and electricians use this fastener when routing overhead systems in steel-framed commercial and industrial buildings.
The 2112-I is suited for overhead suspension work in commercial construction and industrial facilities where threaded rod hangers must be anchored to steel beams, joists, or decking. It eliminates the need for beam clamps or pre-drilled holes in many steel applications, making it a time-saving option during rough-in. The vertical mounting orientation positions the rod straight down from the anchor point, which is the standard configuration for most pipe and conduit hanger assemblies.
Designed for use with 3/8-inch threaded rod in vertical rod hanger assemblies installed into steel structural members.
Installation is performed by licensed mechanical or electrical contractors in accordance with applicable building codes and hanger spacing requirements. Verify the base steel material and thickness are appropriate for a self-tapping mechanical anchor before driving. Use a calibrated hex driver or impact wrench and follow the anchor manufacturer torque guidelines for the specific steel gauge. Do not overtighten, as this can strip the self-tapped threads and compromise holding strength.
