The WARD 15c.wf50 is a corrugated stainless steel tubing (CSST) gas piping coil engineered for residential and commercial natural gas and propane distribution systems. This 50-foot coil carries a nominal size of 1/2 inch and is constructed from 304 stainless steel to ASTM A240 specifications. The defining feature of this Wardflex II system is its conductive coating, which disperses electrical energy induced on the tubing when an arc occurs between the CSST and another metallic system — a design specifically intended to help mitigate damage from lightning-induced transient arcing inside buildings. Licensed plumbers and gas fitters are the primary installers of this product.
The 15c.wf50 is suited for residential and commercial gas piping installations where flexible CSST is preferred over rigid black iron pipe. Its lightweight, flexible construction reduces the number of fittings required and allows routing through walls, floors, and framing without rigid elbows or unions. The polyethylene jacket includes UV inhibitors and meets ASTM E84 flame-spread requirements. The conductive coating is marked every 2 inches along the length to aid in inspection and installation verification. This product ships one coil per box.
Designed for use in residential and commercial gas distribution systems where CSST is an approved piping method. Listed to ANSI LC-1, CSA 6.26, UL, FM, IAPMO, and ICC standards. Compatible with Wardflex II fittings and termination hardware appropriate for 1/2-inch nominal CSST.
Installation must be performed by a licensed plumber or gas fitter in accordance with local codes, IFGC requirements, and the manufacturer installation guide. Shut off the gas supply and verify zero pressure at the work area before making any connections. Bond and ground the CSST system per local electrical code requirements, as conductive coating does not substitute for code-required bonding. Avoid kinking the tubing during routing — use manufacturer-approved bends and support spacing.
