The WARD 15a.wf50 is a corrugated stainless steel tubing (CSST) product designed for natural gas and propane distribution in residential and light commercial piping systems. Manufactured from 304 stainless steel with a yellow polyethylene jacket, this flexible gas tubing runs 50 feet in length with a 1/2-inch nominal connection size. It carries a working pressure rating of 5 to 25 psi and is rated for temperatures from -40 to 165 degrees F. Licensed plumbers and gas fitters use CSST to route fuel gas from meters and regulators to appliances, reducing the number of fittings required compared to rigid black-steel pipe.
This 50-foot coil of 1/2-inch CSST is suited for residential gas installations including furnaces, water heaters, ranges, dryers, and fireplaces, as well as light commercial applications. The flexible construction allows routing through walls, floors, and framing with fewer offsets and connections than rigid pipe. The yellow polyethylene jacket provides a visual identifier and added protection against abrasion during installation. NPS end type connections allow integration with standard gas fittings and manifolds.
Designed as an OEM-style CSST replacement and new-installation tubing for residential and light commercial natural gas and propane piping systems using 1/2-inch NPS gas fittings and manifolds.
Installation must be performed by a licensed plumber or gas fitter in accordance with local codes, IFGC requirements, and the manufacturer's installation guide. Shut off the gas supply and verify zero pressure at the line before making any connections. Bond and ground the CSST system per applicable electrical and gas codes to mitigate arc-fault risk. Avoid kinking the tubing during routing and protect any sections that pass through or near metal framing with appropriate bushings or grommets.
