The WALTER-TITEX 7684300 is a solid carbide extra length drill bit designed for precision drilling in demanding industrial and machining applications. Built to Series DC160-20-A1 standards, this bit features a 5.56 mm cutting diameter, a 140-degree point angle, and a TiSiAlCrN coating that extends tool life when cutting abrasive or high-strength materials. The straight-cylindrical shank measures 6.00 mm in diameter and 36.00 mm in length. With a 182 mm overall length and a 144 mm flute length, this bit reaches deeper bores than standard-length tooling, making it suited for applications where reach is critical. It is installed by machinists, tool-and-die professionals, and CNC operators working in metalworking and precision manufacturing environments.
This drill bit is intended for use in blind hole, cross hole, inclined hole exit, and stack drilling operations. Primary workpiece materials include alloy steel, and titanium alloys. Secondary workpiece materials include glass and graphite. The 20xD flute-by-diameter ratio supports a maximum drilling depth of 135.00 mm. Coolant-through capability makes it compatible with high-pressure internal coolant systems common in CNC machining centers, helping to evacuate chips and manage heat during extended drilling cycles.
Designed for use in CNC machining centers and drill presses equipped with straight-cylindrical shank toolholders accepting a 6.00 mm shank diameter. Suited for machining alloy steel, titanium alloy, glass, and graphite workpieces. Compatible with internal coolant systems capable of delivering coolant through the tool.
This drill bit is installed by qualified machinists or CNC operators. Ensure the machine spindle and toolholder are fully powered down and locked out before loading or changing the bit. Confirm the toolholder bore matches the 6.00 mm straight-cylindrical shank and that the tool is clamped to the full shank length to prevent runout. When using coolant-through capability, verify the machine coolant system pressure is within the toolholder and spindle rated limits before operation.
