The WALTER-TITEX 7377838 is a taper length solid carbide drill bit engineered for high-performance drilling in demanding industrial and trade applications. Built to DIN 6537 K standards, it features a 4.5 mm diameter (0.1772 inches), a 140-degree point angle, and a TiSiAlCrN coating that extends tool life under elevated cutting temperatures. The spiral flute geometry and coolant-through design promote efficient chip evacuation and heat control during deep or interrupted cuts. This bit is sized with an 8xD flute-to-diameter ratio and a parallel shank, making it compatible with standard CNC and manual drill chucks. It is installed by machinists, tool-and-die technicians, and precision fabricators.
The 7377838 is suited for a wide range of drilling operations including blind hole, through hole, cross hole, inclined hole, and stack drilling. Its 37 mm maximum drilling depth and rigid solid carbide construction make it appropriate for production environments where consistent hole quality and tight tolerances are required. The parallel shank and 6 mm shank diameter allow straightforward mounting in standard collet chucks and drill holders used in CNC machining centers and precision drill presses.
Designed as an OEM-specification solid carbide taper length drill bit in the WALTER-TITEX DC160 series, intended for use in CNC machining centers and precision drill presses accepting a 6 mm parallel shank. Suitable for blind hole, cross hole, inclined hole, stack drilling, and through hole drilling applications.
This drill bit is installed by machinists and CNC operators; ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and locked out before mounting or removing the bit. Seat the parallel shank fully and evenly in the collet or chuck to the manufacturer-recommended insertion depth before tightening. Coolant-through operation requires a compatible spindle and toolholder with internal coolant passage. Inspect the cutting edges and coating for wear or chipping before each use and replace the bit if damage is detected to maintain hole quality and prevent tool breakage.
