The WALTER-TITEX 7377675 is a solid carbide jobber-length drill bit designed for high-performance drilling in demanding production and maintenance environments. At 9/16 inches (0.5625 inches) in diameter, it features a 140-degree split point and a dual-layer TiSiAlCrN/AlTiN coating that extends tool life when cutting hard and abrasive materials. The straight-cylindrical shank seats securely in standard drill chucks and collet holders. With a 5xD flute-to-diameter ratio and an overall length of 133 mm (approximately 5.24 inches), this bit is built for consistent, accurate penetration in shop and field conditions. Licensed trades and machining professionals are the primary installers.
This drill bit is rated for use in cast iron, non-ferrous metals, steel, superalloys, and titanium. It handles a range of demanding hole types including blind holes, cross holes, inclined hole exits, and stack drilling applications. The coolant-through design allows cutting fluid to reach the tip directly, reducing heat buildup and chip evacuation problems during deep-hole work. It is suited to CNC machining centers, drill presses, and other rigid setups where consistent feed rates and spindle speeds can be maintained for the workpiece material.
Designed for use across primary workpiece material codes K (cast iron), N (non-ferrous metal), P (steel), and S (superalloys and titanium). Compatible with setups accepting a 16 mm straight-cylindrical shank. Drill bit size falls within the 0.5000 to 0.6500 decimal inch range of the DC160 series.
Installation and operation should be performed by qualified machinists or licensed tradespeople familiar with carbide tooling. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and locked out before mounting or removing the bit. Carbide tooling requires rigid fixturing — avoid use in handheld drills or flexible setups where lateral loading can chip the cutting edge. Confirm coolant-through passages are clear and active before beginning deep-hole cycles to prevent premature coating failure and workpiece damage.
