The WALTER-TITEX 7377661 is a solid carbide jobber-length drill bit engineered for demanding metal-cutting applications in professional machining environments. It measures 13.6 mm in diameter with a 140-degree drill point angle and an overall length of 124 mm. The bit carries a dual-layer TiSiAlCrN and AlTiN coating that extends tool life when cutting hard and abrasive materials. Coolant-through capability allows internal delivery of cutting fluid directly to the cutting zone, reducing heat buildup and chip evacuation issues. Machinists, toolroom technicians, and CNC operators working in production or job-shop settings rely on this drill for consistent hole quality in high-volume runs.
This drill bit is suited for use on CNC machining centers, drill presses, and multi-axis machines where repeatable precision is required. Rated primary workpiece materials include cast iron, non-ferrous metals, steel, superalloys, and titanium. Supported hole types include blind holes, cross holes, inclined hole exits, and stack drilling configurations. The 5xD flute-to-diameter ratio and 60 mm maximum drilling depth make it appropriate for moderate-depth applications in production environments across aerospace, automotive, and general metalworking industries.
Designed for use with cast iron, non-ferrous metals, steel, superalloys, and titanium workpieces. Falls within the DC160 series drill family, covering the 12.50 mm to 15.00 mm diameter range. Conforms to ANSI and ISO standards for straight-cylindrical shank jobber-length drills.
Installation and setup should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC tooling technician. Secure the straight-cylindrical shank firmly in a compatible toolholder or chuck before use, verifying that runout is within acceptable limits for the application. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and locked out before changing or inspecting the tool. Activate coolant-through flow before the drill engages the workpiece to prevent thermal shock to the carbide substrate.
