The WALTER-TITEX 7377602 is a solid carbide jobber-length drill bit engineered for high-performance hole-making in demanding industrial and metalworking applications. It features a 7/16 inch (0.4375 inch) diameter, a 140-degree split point for accurate self-starting entry, and a proprietary TiSiAlCrN/AlTiN multi-layer coating that extends tool life under high heat and abrasion. The overall length is 4.646 inches (118 mm) with a 2.795 inch (71 mm) flute length and a 1.770 inch (45 mm) straight cylindrical shank. Two right-hand spiral flutes evacuate chips efficiently. This bit is installed and used by machinists, toolroom technicians, and precision fabricators working on production drilling operations.
This drill is designed for use on steel, cast iron, aluminum, and other non-ferrous materials. It performs in blind hole, cross hole, inclined hole exit, and stack drilling applications, making it suitable for multi-setup machining environments. The 5xD flute-to-diameter ratio and through-coolant capability support deeper cuts with consistent chip management. It belongs to the DC160 series, which targets high-performance drilling in both manual and CNC setups across light manufacturing and heavy fabrication environments.
Designed for use in CNC machining centers, drill presses, and manual spindles accepting a 12 mm straight cylindrical shank. Rated for drilling into steel, cast iron, aluminum, and non-ferrous workpiece materials per DC160 series design intent.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or tooling technician. Secure the shank fully in a collet or drill chuck to the specified gripping depth before operation. Verify spindle speed and feed rate are appropriate for the workpiece material before starting a cut. Always engage through-coolant supply when the machine supports it to maintain coating integrity and prevent premature wear.
