The WALTER-TITEX 7377526 is a solid carbide jobber-length drill bit designed for high-performance metal cutting in demanding industrial and trade applications. It measures 7.90 mm in diameter with a 140-degree split point and carries a multi-layer proprietary coating — TiSiAlCrN outer layer over an AlTiN base — engineered to resist heat and extend tool life in abrasive and hard materials. Overall length is 91.00 mm (3.5827 inches) with a 53.00 mm (2.0866 inch) flute length. The shank diameter is 8 mm and the shank length is 36 mm (1.4170 inches). This drill is built to the DC160 series standard and conforms to both ANSI and ISO specifications. It is intended for installation and use by machinists, toolroom technicians, and precision drilling tradespeople.
The 7377526 is rated for steel, cast iron, aluminum, and non-ferrous materials. Its 5xD flute-to-diameter ratio and coolant-through capability make it well-suited for production drilling in CNC machining centers and drill presses. Approved tool applications include blind holes, cross holes, inclined hole exits, and stack drilling operations. The right-hand spiral flute geometry promotes efficient chip evacuation in both ferrous and non-ferrous workpieces, reducing the need for peck cycles in moderate-depth holes up to 43.00 mm maximum drilling depth.
Designed as a high-performance replacement or tooling addition for CNC machining centers, drill presses, and multi-spindle setups requiring a 7.90 mm solid carbide jobber drill in the DC160 series. Suitable for workpiece materials coded K (cast iron), N (non-ferrous), P (steel), and S per ISO material classification. Drill bit diameter tolerance is m7.
This drill bit is intended for installation by qualified machinists or CNC setup technicians. Ensure the machine spindle and chuck or collet are fully powered down and locked out before changing tooling. Verify the 8 mm shank seats fully and is clamped to the torque specification of the toolholder manufacturer. When using coolant-through capability, confirm internal coolant passages are clear and system pressure matches the machine tool specification before beginning the cut.
