The WALTER-TITEX 7377507 is a solid carbide jobber-length drill bit designed for high-performance hole-making in demanding metal cutting applications. With a 9/32-inch (0.2813 inch decimal) diameter and a 140-degree drill point angle, this bit delivers accurate entry geometry suited for a wide range of ferrous and non-ferrous materials. The dual-coating system — TiSiAlCrN over an AlTiN base — extends tool life under heat and abrasion. Coolant-through capability supports chip evacuation and thermal control in deep or interrupted hole operations. This tool is installed by machinists, tool and die makers, and maintenance professionals working with CNC and manual drill equipment.
The 7377507 is rated for use in cast iron, non-ferrous metals, steel, and superalloys including titanium. Its 5xD flute-to-diameter ratio and 43-millimeter maximum drilling depth make it well-suited for blind holes, cross holes, inclined hole exits, and stack drilling operations. The spiral flute geometry with a right-hand cut provides positive chip flow. The straight-cylindrical shank with an 8-millimeter shank diameter fits standard drill chucks and collets without modification. This bit is built to Series DC160 specifications and complies with ANSI and ISO standards.
Designed for use in cast iron (material code K), non-ferrous metals (N), steel (P), and superalloys and titanium (S). Suitable for blind hole, cross hole, inclined hole exit, and stack drilling applications where drill bit diameter falls within the 0.2500 to 0.3000 inch range. Part of the Walter DC160 series.
Installation and tool changes should be performed by qualified machinists with the machine at a complete stop and all energy sources locked out per OSHA lockout/tagout requirements. Verify chuck or collet bore matches the 8-millimeter straight-cylindrical shank before securing. When using the coolant-through feature, confirm that the machine spindle coolant supply is active and at adequate pressure before beginning the cut. Do not exceed the rated maximum drilling depth of 43 millimeters to prevent tool deflection or breakage.
