The WALTER-TITEX 7377458 is a solid carbide jobber length drill bit designed for precision hole-making in demanding industrial and trade applications. Built to DC160 series specifications, it features a 140-degree drill point angle, a spiral flute geometry, and an AlTiN (aluminum titanium nitride) coating that extends tool life under high-heat cutting conditions. The straight-cylindrical shank measures 6.00 mm in diameter with a shank length of 1.42 inches. Overall length is 82.00 mm with a flute length of 44.00 mm and a maximum drilling depth of 35.00 mm. Coolant-through capability is supported, making this bit suitable for high-speed machining centers and CNC drilling operations. It is installed by machinists, toolroom technicians, and skilled tradespeople working with production drilling equipment.
This drill bit is engineered for use in cast iron, non-ferrous metals, steel, superalloys, and titanium workpieces. The 5xD flute-to-diameter ratio supports chip evacuation in deeper drilling passes. Typical applications include blind holes, cross holes, inclined hole exits, and stack drilling configurations. The 0.2008-inch nominal diameter falls within the DC160 series range of 0.2000 to 0.2500 inches (5.00 to 6.00 mm), and the right-hand cut geometry is standard for conventional drill press and machining center spindle rotation.
Designed for use in CNC machining centers, drill presses, and production drilling equipment accepting a 6.00 mm straight-cylindrical shank. Suitable for primary workpiece material codes K (cast iron), N (non-ferrous), P (steel), and S (superalloys and titanium) per ISO classification.
This bit should be installed by qualified machinists or toolroom technicians familiar with carbide tooling handling procedures. Secure the shank fully in a collet chuck or drill chuck rated for the intended spindle speed before operation. Carbide is brittle — avoid side loading, interrupted cuts without appropriate parameters, or dropping the tool on hard surfaces. Verify coolant-through connections and pressure settings before initiating deep-hole drilling cycles.
