The WALTER-TITEX 7377418 is a solid carbide jobber-length twist drill designed for high-performance hole-making in demanding production environments. Built on the DC160 series platform, it features a 3.50 mm cutting diameter, a 140-degree split point for reduced thrust and self-centering entry, and an AlTiN coating that extends tool life at elevated cutting temperatures. The straight-cylindrical shank measures 6.00 mm in diameter and fits standard drill chucks and collet holders. Two spiral flutes evacuate chips efficiently, and the drill supports coolant-through delivery for heat management in deep or interrupted cuts. Licensed machinists and CNC operators are the primary installers of this tool.
This drill is suited for operations in cast iron, non-ferrous metals, carbon and alloy steels, superalloys, and titanium. Typical applications include blind holes, cross holes, inclined-exit holes, and stack drilling setups. The 5xD flute-to-diameter ratio and a maximum drilling depth of 23.00 mm make it well matched to short-to-medium depth features in both high-volume and precision job-shop work. It conforms to ANSI and ISO standards, making it compatible with metric tooling systems used in North American and international shops alike.
Designed for use with standard metric collet chucks and drill holders accepting a 6.00 mm straight-cylindrical shank. Rated for cast iron, non-ferrous metals, steel, superalloys, and titanium workpiece materials per DC160 series design intent.
Installation and operation should be performed by qualified machinists familiar with CNC or manual drilling equipment. Confirm spindle speed, feed rate, and coolant pressure are set per the applicable cutting data for the workpiece material before engaging the cut. Inspect the shank and collet bore for contamination or wear before clamping, and verify runout with an indicator before production use. Never exceed the 23.00 mm maximum drilling depth without retracting to clear chips.
