The WALTER-TITEX 7377409 is a solid carbide jobber-length drill bit designed for high-performance hole-making in demanding industrial and trade applications. Built to DC160 series specifications, it features a 1/8 inch (0.1250 inch decimal) cutting diameter with a 140-degree split-point geometry for accurate self-centering entry. The dual-coating system — AlTiN plus TiSiAlCrN — provides thermal and wear resistance across a wide range of workpiece materials. With an overall length of 66.00 mm and a maximum drilling depth of 23.00 mm, this bit is suited for precision drilling where tool life and hole quality are critical. Machinists, toolroom technicians, and CNC operators are the typical end users.
This drill is rated for use in cast iron, non-ferrous metals, steel, superalloys, and titanium — covering ISO material codes K, N, P, and S. It is engineered for blind holes, cross holes, inclined-hole exits, and stack drilling scenarios. The coolant-through design supports internal coolant delivery at the cutting edge, making it effective in high-speed or deep-feature operations where chip evacuation and heat management matter. The straight-cylindrical shank with a 6.00 mm diameter fits standard drill chucks and collet holders commonly found in CNC machining centers and manual drill presses.
Designed as an OEM-style DC160 series replacement or direct application drill for machining operations in cast iron, non-ferrous metals, steel, superalloys, and titanium workpieces. Compatible with standard drill chucks and collet systems accepting a 6.00 mm straight-cylindrical shank.
Installation and use should be performed by qualified machinists or CNC operators familiar with cutting tool setup and speeds-and-feeds selection. Secure the shank fully in a collet or drill chuck before operation and verify runout is within acceptable limits for the application. Connect coolant-through supply lines if internal coolant delivery is required. Never exceed the rated maximum drilling depth of 23.00 mm per tool pass without consulting manufacturer feed and speed guidelines.
