The WALTER-TITEX 5834837 is a solid carbide taper length drill bit designed for high-performance drilling in demanding production environments. Built to the A6589DPP series specification, it measures 0.2188 inches (7/32 inch) in diameter with a 140-degree X-treme D point and a spiral flute geometry. Overall length is 4.7638 inches with a flute length of 3.2677 inches. The parallel shank conforms to DIN 6535 HA and measures 0.2362 inches in diameter. Coolant-through design delivers cutting fluid directly to the tip, supporting extended tool life and chip evacuation at depth. Right-hand cut with a web-thinned, tapered web configuration. Installed by machinists and CNC tooling technicians in metal fabrication and precision machining operations.
This drill bit is suited for a wide range of hole-making applications including blind holes, cross holes, inclined holes, stack drilling, and through-hole drilling. The 12xD flute-to-diameter ratio and maximum drilling depth of 2.9134 inches make it appropriate for deep-hole work where chip removal and coolant delivery are critical. Intended for use in CNC machining centers and drill presses where coolant-through toolholders are available. Applies to ferrous and non-ferrous materials within the K30F carbide grade range.
Designed for use in CNC machining centers and drill presses equipped with coolant-through toolholding systems that accept DIN 6535 HA parallel shanks with a 0.2362-inch shank diameter. Suitable for blind hole, cross hole, inclined hole, stack drilling, and through-hole drilling applications as specified by the manufacturer.
Installation and tool changes should be performed by qualified machining technicians with the spindle fully stopped and machine power locked out per facility LOTO procedures. Verify the toolholder is rated for coolant-through delivery before use. Confirm shank diameter compatibility with the collet or chuck before seating the bit. Inspect the cutting edges and point geometry before each use; do not run a chipped or damaged carbide drill.
