The WALTER-TITEX 5834806 is a taper length, solid carbide drill bit in the A6589DPP series, designed for high-performance drilling in demanding production environments. The bit features a 140-degree point angle with X-treme D point geometry and a double point coating for extended tool life. It runs a 12xD flute-length-to-diameter ratio, a spiral flute in right-hand cut, and integrates coolant-through capability for heat management during deep-hole operations. The parallel shank conforms to DIN 6535 HA. Machinists, tool-and-die technicians, and CNC operators working in metal fabrication, aerospace, and precision manufacturing are the primary users of this tool.
This drill bit is suited for a range of hole-making applications including blind holes, through holes, cross holes, inclined holes, and stack drilling. At 4.6 mm diameter with a 64 mm flute length and 56 mm maximum drilling depth, it handles short-to-medium depth holes with precision. The web-thinned, tapered web configuration reduces thrust and improves chip evacuation. The 6 mm parallel shank fits standard collets and drill chucks conforming to DIN 6535 HA, making it compatible with CNC machining centers and conventional drill presses set up for metric tooling.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and standard production drill for CNC machining centers and drill presses equipped with DIN 6535 HA-compatible collets or chucks accepting a 6 mm parallel shank. Suitable for blind hole, through hole, cross hole, inclined hole, and stack drilling operations.
Installation and tool changes must be performed with the machine powered down and locked out per facility LOTO procedures. Seat the parallel shank fully in a DIN 6535 HA-compliant collet or drill chuck and verify runout before beginning a cut. Connect coolant-through supply lines to the spindle before engaging the tool in deep-hole or high-feed applications. Inspect the cutting edges and point for chipping before each use; carbide tooling should not be used when edge damage is present.
