The WALTER-TITEX 5834773 is a solid carbide taper length drill bit in the A6589DPP series, engineered for precision hole-making in demanding industrial and trade applications. Built from K30F-grade solid carbide, it features a 140-degree split point geometry with X-treme D point type and a web-thinned, tapered web configuration that reduces thrust and improves chip evacuation. The drill measures 0.2031 inches (13/64 inches) in diameter with a flute length of 3.27 inches and an overall length of 4.76 inches. Coolant-through design supports extended tool life in difficult materials. Right-hand spiral flute cutting and a parallel shank conforming to DIN 6535 HA make this bit compatible with standard toolholders used by machinists and maintenance technicians.
This drill bit is suited for blind hole, cross hole, inclined hole, stack drilling, and through hole drilling operations. The 12xD flute-to-diameter ratio and coolant-through capability make it appropriate for use in CNC machining centers, drill presses, and production environments where consistent hole quality and depth accuracy are required. A maximum drilling depth of 2.91 inches (74.00 mm) supports deeper penetration passes without tool change. Typical users include precision machinists, tool-and-die professionals, and industrial maintenance mechanics working with ferrous and non-ferrous materials.
Designed for use in standard parallel-shank toolholders and collet chucks conforming to DIN 6535 HA. Suitable for blind hole, cross hole, inclined hole, stack drilling, and through hole drilling applications where a 13/64-inch solid carbide taper length drill is specified.
Installation and operation of this drill bit should be performed by qualified machinists or maintenance mechanics familiar with CNC or manual drill press setups. Ensure the machine spindle and toolholder are fully powered down and locked out before inserting or removing the bit. Verify collet or chuck runout is within acceptable tolerance before engaging coolant-through supply, and confirm coolant pressure is appropriate for the toolholder system in use. Follow applicable shop safety standards and manufacturer feed-and-speed recommendations for the work material.
