The WALTER-TITEX 5155142 is a taper length, high-speed steel (HSS) drill bit designed for precision drilling in demanding production environments. It carries a 0.1520-inch diameter, a 130-degree split point angle, and a parabolic flute geometry that promotes efficient chip evacuation and reduces heat buildup. The coated finish extends tool life across high-cycle applications. At 4-11/16 inches overall length with a 3-1/16-inch flute length, this bit handles deeper reach requirements that standard jobber-length drills cannot accommodate. It is sized to wire gauge #24 and suits machine shop, MRO, and production drilling operations.
This drill bit is suited for blind hole drilling, through-hole drilling, and stack drilling across a broad range of materials including aluminum, aluminum silicon alloys, brass, bronze, copper alloy, stainless steel, and steel. The parallel shank and web-thinned tapered web design make it compatible with standard drill chucks and CNC machining centers. The parabolic flute profile and 12xD flute-to-diameter ratio allow it to reach a maximum drilling depth of 2.7950 inches (71.00 mm) without sacrificing chip clearance or cutting performance.

It is rated for drilling aluminum, aluminum silicon, brass, bronze, copper alloy, stainless steel, and steel in blind hole, through-hole, and stack drilling configurations per Series A1522 application guidelines.
This drill bit is installed and operated by machinists and CNC technicians using standard drill chucks or collet holders compatible with a 0.1520-inch parallel shank. Ensure the spindle and workpiece are properly secured before operation. Set appropriate feed and speed parameters for the target material to avoid work hardening, especially when drilling stainless steel.
