The WALTER-TITEX 5153725 is a screw machine length drill bit designed for high-performance drilling in demanding trade and industrial applications. Built from cobalt and vanadium high speed steel with a bright uncoated finish, this bit delivers durability across a wide range of workpiece materials. It features a 130-degree split point and a parabolic flute geometry that promotes chip evacuation and reduces heat buildup at the cutting edge. With a straight-cylindrical shank and a tapered web configuration, it seats securely in standard drill chucks and machine spindles. This is a right-hand cut bit suited for use in CNC machines, drill presses, and manual drilling equipment in fabrication, maintenance, and production environments.
This drill bit is built for professionals working in metal fabrication, machine shops, HVAC, plumbing, and electrical trades where precision hole placement is required. Its universal tool performance rating and compliance with DIN and ISO standards make it appropriate for use across cast iron, stainless steel, hardened materials, non-ferrous metals, and carbon steel. The screw machine length profile keeps the bit compact and rigid, reducing deflection on shallow-to-moderate depth holes. Maximum drilling depth is 0.9 inches.
Designed as an OEM-style screw machine length drill bit in the WALTER-TITEX Series A1148 line, compatible with drill bit size range 0.25 to 0.30 inches. Suitable for use in cast iron, hard materials, non-ferrous metals, stainless steel, and carbon steel workpieces.
Installation and use of this drill bit should be performed by qualified machinists, tool and die technicians, or licensed trade professionals familiar with rotary cutting tools. Secure the straight-cylindrical shank fully into the chuck before operation and verify runout is within acceptable tolerances. Power down and de-energize all equipment before changing bits. Always wear appropriate PPE including safety glasses and cut-resistant gloves when handling cutting tools.
