The WALTER-TITEX 5073559 is a metric combination drill and countersink tool designed for simultaneous drilling and countersinking operations in a single pass. Constructed from high-speed steel with a titanium nitride coating, it offers improved surface hardness and wear resistance over uncoated HSS tooling. The tool features a 2mm drill point diameter and a 5mm body diameter, with an overall length of 40mm. It uses a right-hand cutting direction and a radius cutting edge style with a 60-degree included angle. This tool is used by machinists, fabricators, and tooling technicians working in production and job-shop environments.
This combination drill countersink is suited for metalworking, composite, and plastic fabrication applications where a pilot hole and countersink must be produced in one operation. The double end type provides extended tool life by allowing both ends to be used before replacement. Compatible workpiece materials include aluminum, stainless steel, steel, cast steel, grey cast iron, malleable cast iron, spheroidal cast iron, iron alloys, cobalt alloys, nickel alloys, titanium, titanium alloys, non-ferrous metals, plastics, fiber reinforced plastics, and graphite. These properties make it appropriate for precision sheet metal, aerospace component prep, and general machining work.
Designed for use with materials including aluminum, cast steel, cobalt alloys, fiber reinforced plastics, graphite, grey cast iron, iron alloys, malleable cast iron, nickel alloys, non-ferrous metals, plastics, spheroidal cast iron, stainless steel, steel, titanium, and titanium alloys. Part of the WALTER-TITEX K1113TIN series.
This tool is installed in a standard drill chuck or collet holder on a drill press, lathe, or CNC machining center. Secure the tool firmly before operation and confirm spindle speed is appropriate for the workpiece material and tool diameter. Always power down and lock out the machine before changing tooling. Use appropriate cutting fluid or coolant when working with ferrous or hard materials to maintain tool life and finish quality.
