The WALTER-TITEX 5072040 is a solid cobalt steel chucking reamer designed for precision hole finishing in machined components. Built to an h7 diameter tolerance, this reamer produces tight, repeatable bore sizes suitable for close-tolerance fit applications. The 1.99mm reaming diameter and 11.00mm flute length make it well-suited for small-diameter finish reaming operations in ferrous and non-ferrous materials. With four left-hand spiral flutes and a right-hand cutting direction, chip evacuation is directed away from the machined surface, reducing the risk of surface damage in blind and through-hole applications. The straight-cylindrical shank interfaces directly with standard collet chucks and drill chucks on CNC machining centers and manual knee mills.
This chucking reamer is intended for use in precision machining environments where final bore sizing is required after drilling or rough boring. It is appropriate for job shop, production, and toolroom applications involving small-diameter holes in steel, cast iron, aluminum, and similar materials. The F1352HUN series from WALTER-TITEX is engineered for use on CNC machining centers, lathes, and manual mills where consistent, repeatable hole quality is required. The bright uncoated finish is suited to operations where lubrication or coolant is applied externally, given the absence of through-coolant capability.
Designed as an OEM-style precision chucking reamer in the WALTER-TITEX F1352HUN series, compatible with standard collet chuck and drill chuck toolholding systems accepting straight-cylindrical shanks in the sub-2mm diameter range.
Chucking reamers should be installed by a machinist or toolroom technician familiar with rotating cutting tool setups. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the tool changer or spindle is locked before mounting or removing the reamer. Confirm proper chuck runout before use, as excessive runout will directly affect bore tolerance at this diameter range. Apply an appropriate cutting fluid or lubricant for the workpiece material; this tool does not support through-coolant delivery.
