The WALTER-TITEX 5062935 is a cobalt micro drill bit engineered for precision drilling in demanding materials at small diameters. Sized at 1.05 mm (0.0413 inches) with an overall length of 25 mm, this bit features a 118-degree standard point angle and a web-thinned, tapered web configuration that reduces entry force and improves chip evacuation. The spiral flute geometry and right-hand cut combine to produce clean, consistent holes in tight-tolerance applications. Manufactured to DIN 1899 standards with a bright/uncoated finish, this bit is suited for machinists, toolmakers, and precision fabricators working in production or prototype environments.
This micro drill bit is designed for blind hole, through hole, and stack drilling operations. Its primary workpiece material ratings cover titanium alloy as well as cast iron, non-ferrous metals, and steel (material codes K, N, P, and S). It also handles secondary materials including glass and graphite (codes M and O). With a maximum drilling depth of 5.00 mm and a flute-to-diameter ratio of 5xD, it is well suited for shallow precision bores in aerospace components, electronic assemblies, and precision mechanical parts where hole location and diameter tolerance are critical.
Rated for titanium alloy, cast iron, non-ferrous metals, steel, glass, and graphite workpiece materials per Series A3143 application specifications. Suitable for blind hole, stack, and through hole drilling operations per manufacturer designation.
Installation and use of this micro drill bit should be performed by a qualified machinist using a CNC machining center, drill press, or precision hand-held tool with an appropriately sized collet or chuck. Before mounting, verify spindle runout is within tolerance to prevent bit deflection or breakage at this diameter. Secure workpieces firmly before drilling to avoid lateral loading on the bit shank. Follow machine manufacturer guidelines for feed rate and spindle speed when drilling small-diameter holes in hard or abrasive materials.
