The WALTER-TITEX 5062926 is a cobalt micro drill bit designed for precision drilling in demanding materials at very small diameters. Built to DIN 1899 standards, it features a 0.92 mm cutting diameter, a 118-degree standard point angle, and a bright uncoated finish. The straight-cylindrical shank measures 1.50 mm in diameter, and the overall length is 25.00 mm. A web-thinned, tapered web configuration reduces entry force and improves chip evacuation in tight, small-diameter holes. This bit is intended for use by machinists, tooling technicians, and production drilling professionals working with high-tolerance micro-hole applications.
This drill bit is suited for blind hole drilling, through hole drilling, and stack drilling operations. Primary workpiece materials include titanium alloy and materials in the K, N, P, and S material groups. Secondary workpiece materials include glass and graphite. The flute length is 6.00 mm, maximum drilling depth is 4.50 mm, and the 5xD flute-by-diameter ratio supports consistent chip clearance in shallow precision holes. It is commonly used in aerospace component machining, precision instrument manufacturing, and similar high-tolerance production environments.
Designed as a DIN 1899 Series A3143 micro drill bit compatible with standard precision drill chucks and collet systems accepting a 1.50 mm straight-cylindrical shank. Rated for use in titanium alloy, glass, and graphite workpiece materials as identified by material codes K, N, P, S, M, and O.
This bit should be installed in a precision drill chuck or collet rated for the 1.50 mm shank diameter and confirmed to be running true before use. Secure the workpiece firmly to prevent micro-movement during entry, which can cause bit deflection or breakage at this diameter. Verify spindle speed and feed rate are appropriate for the workpiece material before engaging the cut. Never apply side load to the bit during drilling operations.
