The WALTER-TITEX 5062915 is a cobalt micro drill bit engineered for precision drilling in demanding materials. Built to DIN 1899 standards, it features a 118-degree standard point angle with web thinning and a tapered web configuration for improved centering and reduced thrust. The drill measures 0.0319 inches in diameter (wire size 67) with a 1.50 mm straight-cylindrical shank and an overall length of 25.00 mm. The bright, uncoated cobalt construction provides the elevated heat resistance required when working titanium alloys and other hard-to-machine materials. Licensed HVAC, plumbing, and pipefitting tradespeople working with metal assemblies, as well as aerospace and precision machining shops, will find this drill suited to tight-tolerance work.
This micro drill bit is designed for blind hole, through hole, and stack drilling applications. Its primary workpiece material designation covers titanium alloys and non-ferrous metals (material codes K, N, P, S). Secondary applications include glass and graphite (material codes M, O). The spiral flute and right-hand cutting direction suit standard drill press and CNC spindle setups where precise entry geometry and chip evacuation are critical at small diameters.
Designed as an OEM-style micro drill conforming to DIN 1899 for use in standard straight-cylindrical shank collets and drill chucks accepting a 1.50 mm shank diameter. Suited for blind hole, through hole, and stack drilling in titanium alloy, non-ferrous metal, glass, and graphite workpieces.
Installation and use of this bit should be performed by machinists or tradespeople familiar with small-diameter tooling procedures. Secure the straight-cylindrical shank fully in a precision collet or drill chuck rated for the shank diameter before operation. Ensure the spindle and workpiece are properly fixtured to prevent deflection, which can snap micro-diameter drills. Follow applicable shop safety standards and machine guarding requirements when operating drilling equipment.
