The WALTER-TITEX 5062873 is a cobalt micro drill bit engineered for precision drilling in demanding industrial and machining applications. Built to DIN 1899 standards, it features a 0.39 mm diameter, a 118-degree standard point angle, and a web-thinned tapered web configuration that reduces thrust and improves hole entry accuracy at very small diameters. The M35-grade cobalt construction provides elevated heat resistance and edge retention compared to standard high-speed steel. The bright uncoated finish suits applications where coating interaction with the workpiece material is a concern. Licensed machinists, tool-and-die technicians, and precision CNC operators are the typical end users for this class of drill.
This micro drill bit is suited for blind hole, through hole, and stack drilling operations. Its primary workpiece designation covers titanium alloys as well as cast iron, non-ferrous metals, and stainless steel. Secondary workpiece materials include glass and graphite. The straight-cylindrical shank with a 1.00 mm shank diameter seats in standard collet chucks or micro-drill holders. The 5xD flute-to-diameter ratio and 3.00 mm flute length are proportioned for controlled chip evacuation in very shallow, tight-tolerance bores. Maximum drilling depth is 2.20 mm. This series is appropriate for production environments where hole position and diameter tolerance are critical.
Designed for use in precision machining of titanium alloys, cast iron, non-ferrous metals, stainless steel, glass, and graphite. Fits standard collet chucks and micro-drill holders accepting a 1.00 mm straight-cylindrical shank. Part of the WALTER-TITEX Series A3143 micro drill line.
Installation and use of this drill bit should be performed by qualified machinists or CNC operators. Secure the shank fully in a collet or micro-drill holder and verify runout before drilling. Ensure the drilling machine is at a complete stop before changing tooling. Do not exceed the rated maximum drilling depth of 2.20 mm per pass without retracting to clear chips.
