The WALTER-TITEX 5062863 is a cobalt micro drill bit engineered for precision drilling in demanding materials. Built to DIN 1899 standards, this wire gauge size 84 bit measures 0.0114 inches (0.29 mm) in diameter and delivers a 118-degree standard point angle for accurate entry and reduced walking. The M35 cobalt steel construction provides heat resistance and edge retention well beyond standard high-speed steel, making it the right choice when drilling titanium alloys, glass, and graphite where tool life and dimensional accuracy are critical. The spiral flute geometry and web-thinned, tapered web configuration aid chip evacuation in tight, shallow holes.
This bit is suited for precision micro-drilling applications in aerospace, tooling, and specialty fabrication environments. Typical use cases include blind hole drilling, stack drilling, and through-hole drilling in titanium alloys as the primary workpiece material, with secondary capability in glass and graphite. The straight-cylindrical shank seats cleanly in standard collet chucks and precision drill presses. The 25 mm overall length and 1.90 mm flute length are sized for shallow-depth micro work where rigidity and runout control are paramount.
Designed as a DIN 1899 Series A3143 micro drill bit for use in blind hole, stack drilling, and through-hole drilling operations. Primary workpiece material compatibility includes titanium alloy (material codes K, N, P, S); secondary compatibility includes glass and graphite (material codes M, O).
Installation and use of this tool should be performed by qualified machinists or tooling technicians familiar with micro-drill operation. Secure the straight-cylindrical shank in a precision collet or drill chuck rated for the shank diameter before use. Ensure the spindle and workpiece are properly fixtured to minimize runout, which is especially critical at this diameter. Do not exceed recommended feed and speed parameters for the workpiece material, as micro-diameter cobalt drills are susceptible to breakage under side load or excessive feed force.
