The WALTER-TITEX 5062624 is an extra length twist drill bit designed for deep-hole and stack drilling applications in metal fabrication and machining environments. Built from M2 high-speed steel with a bright uncoated finish, it delivers consistent performance across a range of ferrous and non-ferrous workpiece materials. The 7.8 mm diameter bit features a 130-degree point angle with web thinning for reduced thrust and cleaner entry. At 240 mm overall length with a 165 mm flute length, this bit reaches depths that standard-length drills cannot. It is sized to a tolerance of +0.000 to -0.022 mm, meeting ANSI, DIN 1869-I, and ISO standards. Machinists and tool-and-die professionals are the primary installers of this type of tooling.
This drill bit is rated for use in blind hole and stack drilling operations. Primary workpiece materials include cast iron, non-ferrous metals, and steel. Secondary workpiece materials include cobalt alloys, iron, nickel, and titanium alloys. The parabolic flute geometry promotes efficient chip evacuation in deep-hole applications, reducing the need for peck drilling cycles. The straight-cylindrical shank fits standard drill chucks and collet holders without modification. It carries a flute-to-diameter ratio of 16xD and a maximum recommended drilling depth of 152 mm.
Designed for use in CNC machining centers, drill presses, and manual lathes equipped with standard drill chucks or collet systems accepting a 7.8 mm straight-cylindrical shank. Suitable for blind hole and stack drilling in cast iron, steel, non-ferrous metals, cobalt alloys, nickel, and titanium alloys.
Installation and use of this tooling should be performed by qualified machinists or tooling technicians familiar with cutting tool setup and machine operation. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is powered down before changing or seating the bit in the chuck or collet. Verify shank seating depth and chuck tightness before initiating a cut. Follow machine manufacturer guidelines and applicable shop safety standards for speeds, feeds, and coolant use.
