The WALTER-TITEX 5062570 is a high-performance extra length drill bit designed for precision drilling in demanding industrial and machining applications. Built from M2 high speed steel with no coating, this bit features a parabolic flute geometry and a web-thinned, tapered web configuration that reduces thrust and improves chip evacuation. The 130-degree drill point angle suits a wide range of workpiece materials, and the straight-cylindrical shank provides positive chuck engagement. At a 16xD flute-by-diameter ratio, this tool delivers extended reach well beyond standard length drills. Licensed machinists, tool-and-die technicians, and CNC operators are the typical end users.
This drill bit is sized at 0.1181 inches (3.00 mm) in diameter with a flute length of 3.937 inches (100.00 mm) and a maximum drilling depth of 3.74 inches (95.00 mm). It is suited for blind hole drilling and stack drilling operations. Primary workpiece materials include cast iron, non-ferrous metals, and steel. Secondary workpiece materials include cobalt alloys, iron, nickel, and titanium alloys. The Series A1622 designation places it within a well-defined family of extra length tooling conforming to DIN 1869-I, ANSI, and ISO standards.
Designed for use in cast iron, non-ferrous metals, and steel as primary workpiece materials, with secondary suitability for cobalt alloys, iron, nickel, and titanium alloys. Part of the WALTER-TITEX Series A1622 extra length drill bit family built to DIN 1869-I standards.
This bit is installed by machinists or CNC operators using a compatible chuck or collet sized for a 3.00 mm (0.1181 inch) straight-cylindrical shank. Verify machine spindle speed and feed rate are appropriate for the workpiece material before starting. Ensure the workpiece is securely fixtured before drilling. Inspect the cutting edge and web-thinned point for wear or damage before each use to maintain diameter tolerance within the rated -0.0006 to 0.0000 inch range.
