The WALTER-TITEX 5062512 is an extra length high speed steel drill bit designed for deep-hole and extended-reach drilling applications in metalworking environments. Built to Series A1622 and conforming to DIN 1869-I, ANSI, and ISO standards, this bit features a parabolic flute geometry that improves chip evacuation during deep drilling. The 130-degree split point with web thinning reduces entry force and walking on hard surfaces. Material grade M2 high speed steel delivers the hardness and heat resistance needed for sustained cutting in ferrous and non-ferrous metals. This tool is installed and used by machinists, tool-and-die professionals, and maintenance technicians working on CNC or manual drilling equipment.
This drill bit is suited for blind hole drilling and stack drilling operations across a range of primary workpiece materials including cast iron, non-ferrous metal, and steel. Secondary workpiece materials include cobalt alloys, iron, nickel, and titanium alloys. The 16xD flute-to-diameter ratio and 4.449-inch maximum drilling depth make this bit appropriate for through-hole and blind-hole applications where standard-length bits cannot reach. It is used in both production and maintenance environments requiring precise, repeatable hole sizing.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and standard extra length drill bit for use in manual drill presses, CNC machining centers, and hand-held drilling equipment accepting a 0.159-inch straight-cylindrical shank.
Installation and use of this bit should be performed by qualified machinists or maintenance technicians familiar with metal drilling operations. Secure the shank fully in the chuck or collet before operation and verify runout is within acceptable tolerance for the application. De-energize and lock out the drilling machine before changing bits. Use appropriate cutting fluid or dry-cutting technique based on the workpiece material being machined.
