The WALTER-TITEX 5061939 is a taper length twist drill bit designed for high-performance drilling in metals and alloys. Built from high speed steel with a coated finish, it features a parabolic flute geometry and a web-thinned, tapered web configuration that reduces cutting forces and improves chip evacuation. The 130-degree split point provides accurate self-centering entry without a pilot hole. At 0.2188 inches (7/32 inch) in diameter, this Series A1522 drill covers a flute-length-to-diameter ratio of 12xD, making it well-suited for deeper hole applications where a jobber-length bit falls short. Machinists, tool-and-die shops, and maintenance professionals install this bit in CNC machining centers and manual drill presses alike.
The 5061939 is rated for use in aluminum, aluminum silicon alloys, brass, bronze, copper alloys, stainless steel, and carbon steel. Its taper length body is appropriate for blind hole drilling, through hole drilling, and stack drilling operations. The parabolic flute design promotes efficient chip clearing in deeper cuts, which is especially useful when running at higher feed rates in soft non-ferrous materials or when drilling through multiple stacked workpiece layers.
Designed as a DIN 340 Series A1522 taper length drill bit rated for aluminum, aluminum silicon, brass, bronze, copper alloy, stainless steel, and steel workpiece materials. Suitable for blind hole, through hole, and stack drilling applications.
Install in a clean, properly sized chuck or collet — the 0.2190-inch parallel shank requires a chuck with sufficient grip range for accurate runout. Verify spindle speed and feed rate against published cutting data for the specific workpiece material before drilling. Secure the workpiece firmly to prevent movement during stack drilling operations. Inspect the cutting edges and coating condition before each use, as a damaged edge in stainless or hardened steel can cause rapid tool failure.
