The WALTER-TITEX 5061915 is a taper length high-speed steel drill bit designed for demanding material removal in production and job-shop environments. It features a 130-degree standard point angle with web thinning on a tapered web configuration, which reduces thrust at entry and improves chip evacuation. The parabolic flute geometry at a 12xD ratio supports deeper cuts with less packing. At 6.5 inches overall length and a 4.28-inch flute length, this bit handles through-hole and blind-hole applications where a jobber-length bit falls short. Licensed technicians and machinists working with harder ferrous and non-ferrous alloys will find this format well suited to high-feed drilling cycles.
This drill bit is intended for use in CNC machining centers, drill presses, and manual machines where a taper length format is required. It is rated for aluminum, aluminum silicon, brass, bronze, copper alloy, stainless steel, and steel. Its right-hand cut and parallel shank make it compatible with standard drill chucks and collet holders. It is appropriate for blind hole drilling, through-hole drilling, and stack drilling operations. The coated finish extends tool life across repeated cuts in the listed material groups.
Designed as an OEM-style taper length drill bit for use in standard drill chucks and collet holders accepting a parallel shank; compatible with aluminum, aluminum silicon, brass, bronze, copper alloy, stainless steel, and steel workpiece materials per Series A1522 specifications.
Installation and use should be performed by qualified machinists or tool-room technicians familiar with proper speeds and feeds for the workpiece material. Secure the parallel shank fully in the chuck or collet before operation and verify runout is within acceptable limits. Power down and lock out the machine before changing or inspecting the bit. Do not exceed the maximum drilling depth of 3.78 inches without retracting to clear chips.
