The WALTER-TITEX 5060649 is a cobalt jobber-length drill bit engineered for high-performance drilling in demanding materials. It carries a 9/64 inch (0.1406 inch decimal) diameter, a 130-degree split point, and a parabolic flute geometry that promotes efficient chip evacuation. The oxide coating adds surface hardness and heat resistance, extending tool life under aggressive cutting conditions. Overall length is 2-3/4 inches with a flute length of 1-17/32 inches. This bit is suited for licensed machinists, maintenance mechanics, and trade professionals working in production or service environments where hole quality and tool longevity matter.
Designed for blind hole drilling and stack drilling applications, this bit performs in cast iron, non-ferrous metals, stainless steel, carbon and alloy steel, superalloys, and titanium. The parabolic flute profile supports an 8xD flute-to-diameter ratio, helping clear chips in deeper cuts without packing. The straight-cylindrical shank seats in standard drill chucks without modification. Series A1247 follows ANSI and ISO standards as well as BS and DIN specification designations, making it suitable for both domestic and international application requirements.
Designed as an OEM-style jobber-length drill bit in Series A1247, compatible with standard straight-shank drill chucks. Rated for use in cast iron, non-ferrous metal, stainless steel, steel, superalloys, and titanium workpiece materials per manufacturer specifications.
Installation and use of this drill bit should be performed by qualified machinists or trade professionals familiar with proper spindle speed and feed rate selection for the workpiece material. Secure the straight-cylindrical shank firmly in a properly sized drill chuck before operation. Coolant-through is not supported on this bit; use external coolant or cutting fluid as appropriate for the material. Inspect the cutting edge and point condition before each use and replace the bit if chipping or wear is observed.
